This log home was built roughly 20 miles north of downtown Durango at an elevation of more than 9,000 feet to take advantage of the beauty of the surroundings and to allow the homeowners and their guests to enjoy the area’s rugged winters and tranquil summers. Designer Joe Sebestyen of Designlab worked closely with Classique Development and Construction to build a dwelling that would both reflect and enhance the natural beauty of the Needles Mountains. Unique for a log home in excess of 7,000-sq.ft, the Two Dog’s interior logs are exposed to capture the genuine feel of a western mountain setting. Other unusual features include gleaming wood floors inlaid with tile and carpeting, and hand-carved doorways beckoning family and guests to the upstairs bedrooms. As an exclusive community, homes in the Two Dogs development start at $1 million.
